Born in Seligenstadt, Germany
Professional background in commercial publishing and journalism
Degree in Business Administration and Economics
1990 – 1997 | On journalistic assignments for travel magazines in 25 countries in Europe, Asia and the Caribbean |
2001 | Start of the Chin Women photo project in Burma (ongoing until today) |
2002-2003 | Participation in workshops of renamed portrait photographers in Italy and the USA |
2004 | Solo exhibition at Galerie Iskandar in Paris, France |
2007 | Publishing of his first photo book “Bloodfaces” (Flame of the Forest, Singapore) |
2009 | Solo exhibition “Faces of the Chin Women” in Hong Kong (a Starstreet exhibition, sponsored by Swire Properties) |
2010 | Special exhibition at the Bavarian State Museum of Ethnology in Munich, Germany, curated by Dr. Wolfgang Stein |
Currently, Jens lives and works in Singapore with his wife, Swe Yi, who is from Burma. Together they travel, explore and photograph whenever time allows.
